Clear2talk's new web dialer eliminates
the need for soft phone software to PCs and provides VoIP service access
from a PC anywhere in the world using a simple URL reference. If the
user's PC is Java-ready dialer access is simple and instantaneous. If
not, downloading Java makes setup quick and easy. Afterwards the web
dialer can be bookmarked exactly like a web page making VoIP highly
portable and perfect for use in international geographies.
Clear2talk incorporates Global IP Sound (GIPS) voice processing
solutions into its dialer, producing the best quality sound possible in
Internet telephony, while simplifying the integration of speech codecs,
communication with sound cards, real-time performance, RTP protocol
handling and other voice-related tasks.
Combining GIPS with the proprietary Digital Sound Processing (DSP) voice
system, Clear2talk's web dialer performs advanced packet error recovery,
jitter buffer, echo cancellation, and audio gain control.
Additionally, the Clear2talk dialer uses the G.729 codec to digitally
encode analog voice signals for transfer across IP networks. Boasting
better voice quality than its widely used G.723 counterpart, it
functions at a low bit-rate of 8kbps.
